The American healthcare system is complicated. 88% of US adults cite difficulties navigating the healthcare system. The good news is patient advocacy became a covered benefit by Medicare in 2024. Understood Care matches Medicare patients with a healthcare personal assistant (known as a Patient Advocate) at little to no cost to the patient. Patient Advocates help patients patients access care - finding resources, helping fill out paperwork, and much more.
